Dave Bennett is a blazing clarinet sensation playing the “swing style” of Benny Goodman. He previously appeared at the Center performing in the Modesto Symphony’s “Clarinet Swing Kings” concert in 2014. We delighted to bring Dave back with his quartet for an all-Goodman program to include classics such as “Moonglow,” “I’ve Got Rhythm,” “Sing Sing Sing,” “Let’s Dance,” “Don’t Be That Way,” “Stompin’ at the Savoy” and more! Dave is an authentic musical prodigy (totally self-taught) who brings Goodman’s music to life with incredible technique, style, beauty of tone and naturalness. His stage presence, knowledge of Goodman, and his penchant for wire-rim glasses, spats and double-breasted suits, transports listeners back in time!
